On (GMT+8) June 21, 2018, the Tron Foundation will launch their MainNet blockchain, the existing ERC20 Tron (TRX) tokens will migrate to the public TRX blockchain.
As of the current situation, TRX is still an ERC-20 token we support. However until its MainNet is launched, it is no longer an ERC-20 token, but a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain. In light of that, Gatecoin will not support that, as well as any its token swap.
Accordingly, Gatecoin users holding balances of Tron (TRX) will have until 12 am HKT (GMT+8) 15 June 2018, to withdraw their tokens from the exchange. From 15 June 2018 onwards, both trading and transfers (deposit + withdrawal) will no longer be available through the exchange.
What shall I do with my TRX in my Gatecoin account?
Traders may consider the two options below:
1) Trade TRX with other trading pairs on our platform before June 10th.
Trading pairs on Gatecoin: https://support.gatecoin.com/hc/en-us/sections/115002384168-Trading-pairs
2) Withdraw your TRX from Gatecoin to another exchanges that support TRX swap. Please be reminded that the TRX should be withdraw to another exchange but not ledger. Transferring to another ledger will result in loosing the token.
It's important to note that the process of validating a new account in other exchanges might take more than a few days. As the deadline is drawing near, should you wish to open an a new account in other exchanges that support TRX migration, please do not postpone this withdrawal for too long. Additionally please note that withdrawals may incur fees.
